
4 US Companies Interested in Buying TikTok – Here Are the Potential Buyers!
U.S. President Donald Trump revealed that discussions are underway with several potential buyers interested in acquiring TikTok. He mentioned that four companies have expressed interest in taking over the app. However, Trump did not provide further details about the parties involved in the negotiations. When asked about the likelihood of a deal being reached soon, Trump stated that it could happen.

Threat of TikTok Ban in the United States
Currently, TikTok is still facing the threat of being banned in the United States. According to existing laws, the app must separate from its parent company, ByteDance, if it wants to continue operating in the country. However, at the end of January, Trump signed an Executive Order extending the deadline for TikTok to resolve this issue by 75 days from the date the regulation was enacted. He argued that the deadline set in the law was inappropriate as it coincided with the day before his inauguration as president.

Potential Buyers Interested in Acquiring TikTok
TikTok has previously faced temporary bans in the U.S. and was removed from app stores in the country. Several parties are reportedly interested in acquiring TikTok. One of them is an initiative called "The People's Bid for TikTok," launched by real estate and sports tycoon Frank McCourt through Project Liberty. Additionally, companies such as Microsoft, Oracle, and a group involving internet personality Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson have also been rumored to be interested in purchasing the app.

TikTok and U.S. National Security Concerns
TikTok is considered a national security threat to the United States as it is a subsidiary of ByteDance, a Chinese company. The U.S. government fears that TikTok user data could be accessed by the Chinese government, posing a significant security risk. As a result, the U.S. government continues to pressure TikTok to separate its operations from ByteDance to eliminate potential threats to user data in the United States.
