Huawei Pura 70 Ultra Arrives in Indonesia, Promising Top-tier Performance and Stylish Design

Huawei has officially announced its return to the Indonesian smartphone market after a two-year hiatus since 2022. On Thursday (November 28, 2024), the Chinese company revealed that it would be launching its flagship model, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, which is set to be available starting December 12, 2024. Before the official release, customers can pre-order the device from December 5 to 11, 2024.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra will be priced starting from IDR 17,999,000, available in two color options: Black and Green. Huiler Fan, the Country Head of Huawei Device Indonesia, stated that the launch of the Pura 70 Ultra marks an important milestone for Huawei's return to the Indonesian market. He expressed optimism that the device would be well-received by consumers and serve as a stepping stone for bringing more Huawei smartphones to Indonesia in the future. The Pura 70 Ultra is designed to cater to the needs of users who prioritize productivity, creativity, and modern lifestyles, offering outstanding photography capabilities, a sleek design, and reliable performance.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra marks the debut of the "Pura" series in Indonesia. The Pura series was introduced in April 2024 as a rebranding of Huawei's flagship "P" series. Previous models from the Huawei P series, such as the P30 (2019) and P50 Pro (2022), were released in Indonesia. The Pura 70 Ultra was initially launched in China in April 2024, along with other models like the Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Pro Plus. The series went global in May 2024, and now, after six months, one of the models is finally arriving in Indonesia.

In terms of specifications, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is equipped with a 6.8-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,844 x 1,260 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2,500 nits. The front camera is a 13 MP lens, while the rear setup features three cameras. The main camera is a 50 MP sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a retractable lens system, which allows for maximum light capture without compromising the device's slim design. Additionally, the phone has a 40 MP ultrawide camera and a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom. The device is powered by Huawei's Kirin 9010 chipset, paired with 16 GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 512 GB to 1 TB. The Pura 70 Ultra also has a 5,200 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging, 80-watt wireless charging, and 20-watt reverse wireless charging.

However, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra does not run on Android or Google Mobile Services (GMS). Instead, the device relies on Huawei's proprietary ecosystem, Huawei Mobile Services (HMS), and the Huawei AppGallery app store. As a result, users will not have access to popular Google services like Google Maps, YouTube, or Google Drive out of the box.

The device also features an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, NFC, dual SIM, USB Type-C, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra will be available in two storage configurations:

  • 16 GB/512 GB: IDR 17,999,000
  • 16 GB/1 TB: IDR 20,999,000

The phone will be available for pre-order from December 5 to 11, 2024, via Huawei's partnered marketplace platforms.
