TikTok Releases 60 Minutes Videos, Youtube on The Edge?

TikTok is rumored to be releasing video durations of up to 60 minutes on their application. This news was reported by TechCrunch. This experiment will reportedly be limited to only a few users and TikTok has no plans to release it massively at least until an undetermined time.

For information, TikTok does not rarely update the duration of videos on their platform. Initially, the platform was famous for its short portrait video format with a duration of only 15 seconds, after which they increased the duration to 1 minute and now has a maximum duration of 10 minutes.

But lately Tiktok has also mentioned the 15-minute video duration experiment, they also tried to increase the limit on the duration of videos that can be uploaded to 30 minutes. Until finally now they are testing videos with a duration of 60 minutes.

Tiktok is indeed famous as a platform that is quite listening to criticism and suggestions from its users, especially content creators who need longer video duration for the sake of developing content creativity. Content such as cooking tutorials, make-up demos, education, comedy videos and others tend to require a fairly long duration.

It looks like TikTok wants to take Youtube users and dominate the long video segment. All TikTok needs is a few features that can make it superior to Youtube such as Full Screen and portrait videos. What do you think? Don't forget to share this article!
