Samsung & Qualcomm Unveil Advanced AI Technology in the Samsung Galaxy S25!
Samsung introduces a more personal and responsive AI assistant feature on its latest smartphone, the Galaxy S25.
The company analyzes smartphone usage patterns to better understand user needs and then implements these insights into its AI Agents technology.
This technology is designed to enhance productivity by providing more efficient and personalized solutions.
Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Customer Experience Office at Samsung Mobile eXperience, stated that the company focuses on reducing the steps required to input commands while optimizing the output received.
According to Kim, Samsung studies how consumers use their smartphones, identifies various potential use cases with partners, and integrates them into the device to deliver the best possible user experience.
The South Korean tech giant has also collaborated with Qualcomm to customize its processors, ensuring smoother device performance and unlocking new possibilities for users to leverage AI in a more natural and efficient way.
Christopher Patrick, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Mobile Handset, Voice & Music, and Wearables at Qualcomm, described the Galaxy S25 as a significant leap forward, enabling more personal and innovative interactions with the AI assistant.
This AI technology not only provides an experience similar to talking to a person but also understands the surrounding environment and interacts with content captured by the camera.
Patrick mentioned that their close collaboration with Samsung in optimizing the processor allows these new capabilities to function seamlessly—something they are very excited about.
With rapid advancements in AI technology, Samsung continues to innovate to enhance user interaction with its devices.
The company is working to overcome various limitations by expanding access to mobile AI technology. Last year, it introduced Galaxy AI through the S24 series, integrating both on-device AI and cloud-based AI (on-cloud AI).
On-device AI enables users to access AI capabilities without relying on an internet connection. While the Galaxy S24 featured six on-device AI functions, the Galaxy S25 has expanded this number to nine.
