Donald Trump Created a Tiktok Account for His Campaign, Targeting Gen Z and Y

Donald John Trump or more commonly called Donald Trump has officially created a TikTok account. After opposing and banning the operation of TikTok in the United States for national security reasons in 2020 while he was still in office, Trump finally announced his account in his first video upload.

Trump's account uses a profile picture of his face patterned with the United States flag, and his description reads “45th President of the United States.” Trump's account has also been verified with a blue tick indicating that it is really his account and not a fake account.

In his first video, Trump is seen side by side with Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), with the caption “Launching my TikTok at UFC” - President Donald J Trump.

The 13-second video has been viewed 56 million times, received 3 million likes, 11 thousand comments, and 150 thousand bookmarks. In the video Dana White says “The President (Trump) is now on TikTok,” to which Trump replies “My honor,” with Kid Rock's American Bad Ass as the music.

The background of creating Donald Trump's TikTok account is none other than as a campaign media, especially to attract potential voters from Y and Z in the United States presidential general election in November 2024.
