Hidden “Squid Game” Mini-Game on Google: Here’s How to Play
Google frequently introduces Easter eggs to commemorate significant events or topics that capture public attention. One of the latest Easter eggs is a mini-game inspired by the Squid Game series. This game appears in Google Search to celebrate the release of Squid Game Season 2 (Squid Game 2). Users can access and play the game using specific keywords in Google. Here’s how to play.
How to Play the Squid Game Mini-Game on Google
The game can be found by searching for the keyword “Squid Game” on Google Search. Once searched, an animation of an invitation card from the Squid Game series, featuring circle, triangle, and square symbols, will appear. Clicking on this animated card will reveal the Red Light Green Light game, a famous challenge from the series.
In the game, players must guide five characters to the finish line without being eliminated by the gaze of a giant doll, similar to the original series. Users are given two buttons to control the characters’ movements:
- The circle button to move forward.
- The cross button to stop moving.
Characters must stop moving when the doll is looking their way. If they continue to move, they will be eliminated, and the game will end. Successfully reaching the finish line triggers a celebratory animation featuring a piggy bank, resembling the prize money container from the series.
Google often introduces Easter eggs like this discreetly to mark special occasions. In the past, Google has featured similar Easter eggs for other releases, such as the Barbie movie and The Last of Us series. This time, the theme is Squid Game 2.
